In 2011 Pentagon created a plan to deal will a zombie apocalypse, CONOP 8888

In 2011 the Pentagon came up with a plan, CONOP 8888 or "Counter-Zombie Dominance" to deal with a zombie apocalypse. This being the Pentagon they came up with a plan to just not deal with regular old zombies but also chicken zombies (WTF), vegetarian zombies (I'm not sure they can exist), and "evil magic zombies". While dealing with the ridiculous (forget for a minute we are talking about zombies here) the plan also deals with a worst case scenario in which the zombie infection spreads at very rapid rate. In popular culture it's often stated that zombies, the walking dead, walkers, etc like to eat human brains. Why? Does it really f*cking matter why?
