Surprise ! Sleep Hollow is coming back for a 4th season.

Those seven years of tribulation may happen after all: Fox has renewed Sleepy Hollow for a fourth season, TVLine has learned.

The news comes after a season that ended in April with the death of Abbie, played by Nicole Beharie, who along with Tom Mison’s Ichabod was one of the biblically foretold Witnesses at the center of the show. At the time of the finale, showrunner Clifton Campbell told TVLine that Beharie “will not return to the show as Abbie Mills,” but added that there was a “possibility” that “reflections of her will be around.”

The Season 4 cast list, confirmed by Fox on Friday, includes Mison, Lyndie Greenwood, Lance Cross and Jessica Camacho — but not Beharie, and not Nikki Reed, who TVLine has confirmed is no longer with the series.
