M. Night Shyamalan's 'Old' tops the box office in its opening weekend

'Old', directed by M. Night Shyamalan opened in first place this weekend with $16,500,000.

The movie beat out fellow newcomer 'Snake Eyes'for the #1 spot as well as 'Black Widow' and family film 'Space Jam'.

'Old' is Shymalan's 7th film to open at #1.

"It's an extraordinary debut," says Jim Orr, Universal's head of distribution. "M. Night Shyamalan is an amazing filmmaker and one of the best in the industry."

Orr says he also expects "Old" will continue to play well in the coming weeks.

Check Out The Cover For The Art Of AMC's The Walking Dead Universe

AMC Networks, Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics revealed today the historic new cover to The Art of AMC’s The Walking Dead Universe from iconic illustrator Brian Rood (Star Wars, Transformers).

This all-new cover marks the first time that the casts of AMC’s three iconic TWD series – The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond – have ever been featured in the same piece of art, and includes the artist’s rendition of over 50 (!) cast members, along with a multitude of terrifying Walkers.

“We’re thrilled to reveal this monumental painting by Brian Rood, combining all three of The Walking Dead Universe series like never before,” Mike Zagari, Head of AMC Networks Publishing, said in a statement. “The image perfectly encapsulates the epic scope of the ever-expanding TWD Universe, and we look forward to sharing more with fans as we approach the book’s launch this fall.”

Available at comic shops on September 29, and everywhere books are sold on October 5, The Art of AMC’s The Walking Dead Universeis an in-depth compilation of behind-the-scenes pre-production and production art from all three of AMC’s iconic The Walking Dead series and will feature never-before-seen original sketches, concept art, storyboards, special product illustrations, and more from the shows inspired by Robert Kirkman’s comic book turned pop-culture phenomenon.

Marking AMC Networks’ first venture into book publishing, the book also features an introduction by Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe Scott M. Gimple and fun facts from creators and crew members on all three series. The Art of AMC’s The Walking Dead Universe can be pre-ordered now everywhere books are sold, in both print and digital formats. Syfy's Chucky teaser trailer and release date

Syfy has released a teaser trailer for its new series, Chucky. Chucky features Brad Dourif returning as the voice of everyone's favorite suicidal doll and the series premieres on October 21, 2021 at 10PM Eastern on the Syfy and USA networks.

In the new CHUCKY television series, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos after a vintage 'Good Guy' doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose the town's deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets. Meanwhile, friends and foes from Chucky's past creep back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.
