In 2011 Pentagon created a plan to deal will a zombie apocalypse, CONOP 8888

In 2011 the Pentagon came up with a plan, CONOP 8888 or "Counter-Zombie Dominance" to deal with a zombie apocalypse. This being the Pentagon they came up with a plan to just not deal with regular old zombies but also chicken zombies (WTF), vegetarian zombies (I'm not sure they can exist), and "evil magic zombies". While dealing with the ridiculous (forget for a minute we are talking about zombies here) the plan also deals with a worst case scenario in which the zombie infection spreads at very rapid rate. Confined and under attack, the characters struggle to survive while also confronting their own sense of humanity.

For Anthony Hoit, Graphic Film Company’s Chief Systems Administrator and Stereographer/Technical Director on the film, it was iPi Motion Capture’s ease of use and high-quality motion data captured that provided the technical advantage from both a creative and a budget prospective.

“What most impressed me was how easy it was to take an idea, capture it with iPi Motion Capture, clean it up using an animation tool like Maya and drop it into a scene,” Hoit says. “We’re talking a total time from concept to scene file of about 30 minutes. That’s pretty amazing.”

Proposed Florida law would allow you to carry a gun during a zombie apocalypse.

[ SOURCE ] If there were a zombie apocalypse in Florida, gun owners would be able to take their weapons with them as they ran screaming from the walking dead, even without a concealed weapons permit, if new legislation is passed.

Senate Bill 296 reportedly would give Florida gun owners the right to carry concealed weapons -- without the proper permit -- during a state of emergency. A hurricane, for instance.

Democratic Sen. Dwight Bullard, an opponent of the bill, imagined other dire straits when he filed this amendment to the bill late Tuesday: "An act relating to the zombie apocalypse."

It was Bullard's way of calling out this bill as "laughable." A crisis, he told the Huffington Post, is "the last instance in which you want someone who is not a concealed permit holder to carry a weapon."
